Nigerian artist Stanley Omah Didia, widely known as Omah Lay, has sparked concern among fans after disclosing that he is once again struggling with depression.
In a candid post on Snapchat, the Soso hitmaker suggested that his mental health relapse is linked to issues surrounding his record deals and involvement in the music industry.
He pointed fingers at his former manager and criticized his past decisions, particularly those made early in his career when he signed certain contracts.
“Fk contacts. Fk labels. Fk the music business. Fk my younger self. F**k my manager.
God please, I’m losing my mind again,” he wrote.
This emotional outburst comes just weeks after his split from former manager Muyiwa Awoniyi. Although Awoniyi had previously stated on social media that their separation was mutual, Omah Lay’s labelmate, Kaestyle, claimed he was actually dismissed.
Omah Lay has previously opened up about his struggles with depression, particularly in his debut album Boy Alone, released on July 15, 2022.
Just days later, on July 18, he revealed via his X account that his mental health deteriorated further after becoming sexually involved with his therapist.
