Former State lawmaker Blyden Amajuruonwu, who represented the Ngor-Okpala State Constituency, and Cajethan Duke, the Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, or APC, Imo State chapter, have both resigned from the party.

In Owerri, the state capital, they announced their resignation to their followers and members of a brand-new political movement called The Mazi Organization (TMO).

According to Duke, their decision to quit was the result of thorough consideration of joining and aligning with the new political movement led by Chima Amadi in order to create a new political climate that would usher in a new era for the State’s economic development and prosperity.

“It is with exceptional humility and profound sense of responsibility that I wish to inform this distinguished audience and general public of my decision to resign as the State Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Imo State, effective today, Friday, February 14, 2025.

The former APC Publicity Secretary expressed his gratitude for the chance to work for the APC Imo State in that capacity.

“As I move on to this new chapter, I am excited to announce that I have accepted the offer to become the official spokesperson of TMO for better Imo State

“This new role aligns with my passion for building an environment conducive for real economic growth and prosperity and I am eager to contribute my skills and experience to help advance the organization’s mission and goals,” he said.
