Intuitive Foundation Receives $45 Million to Advance Health and Education Programs.

Intuitive, a California-based global medical technology company, has announced a significant commitment of $45 million to its philanthropic arm, the Intuitive Foundation. This donation supports the foundation’s mission to “reduce the global burden of disease and suffering” through philanthropy, research, and education.

The Intuitive Foundation awards grants for various initiatives, including medical research, STEM educational programs, training, surgical fellowships, and healthcare training programs and facilities. Since its inception in 2018, the foundation has committed over $65 million in grants. With this latest gift, the company’s contributions to the foundation now exceed $170 million.

According to Intuitive Foundation President Catherine Mohr, “Amplifying the voice of intuitive employees and the causes that are meaningful to them is a key pillar of the Intuitive Foundation’s philanthropic giving.” Mohr highlighted the foundation’s recent achievements, stating,

“Additionally, in 2024, we were able to provide research grants and surgical fellowships totaling more than $6 million, and we were able to contribute $3 million to support the Surgical Education Learners Forum, which develops training modules for clinicians in low-resource settings.”

This significant commitment demonstrates Intuitive’s dedication to advancing health and education causes and the Intuitive Foundation’s continued efforts to make a positive impact globally.
