U.S. President Donald Trump has asserted that Iran has a significantly greater number of missiles than was thought and was on the verge of initiating an attack against the United States.

While addressing House Republicans at their annual policy retreat in Florida on Monday, Trump made the statement.

He stated that intelligence reports indicated Iran was gearing up for a significant attack.

He said, “Within a week, they were going to attack us, 100 per cent. They were ready.”

Trump stated that Iran possessed far more missiles than anyone had anticipated.

His remarks were made while the U.S. was still conducting military operations targeting Iran. Trump suggested that the conflict could soon conclude.

During a phone interview with CBS News from his golf club in Doral, Florida, the president stated that U.S. forces had already inflicted significant damage on Iran’s military capabilities.

“I think the war is pretty much complete,” Trump said.

He asserted that Iran’s military infrastructure had suffered significant deterioration, stating that the country lacked an effective navy, communication systems, and air force. Trump further stated that numerous Iranian missiles and drones had been eliminated, along with sites utilized for drone production.

During the inaugural week of the operation, the U.S. military indicated that over 3,000 targets within Iran had been struck.

Trump maintained that Iran had diminished its military strength significantly. “If you look, they have nothing left in a military sense,” he said.
