Iranian President, Masoud Pezeshkian, has accused the United States of breaching a ceasefire agreement.

Pezeshkian made the allegation on Sunday during a telephone conversation with Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

He also condemned the US blockade in the Strait of Hormuz.

The Iranian government, in a post on X, stated that Pezeshkian described the naval blockade as a clear violation of the ceasefire arrangement and inconsistent with the United Nations Charter.

Meanwhile, Iran’s judiciary-linked Mizan News Agency reported on Sunday that Pezeshkian accused the United States of engaging in bullying and unreasonable conduct during negotiations and the ceasefire process.

According to the report, Pezeshkian cautioned the Pakistani Prime Minister that US actions and threatening statements have heightened doubts among Iranian officials regarding the seriousness of the American side and raised concerns about a potential repetition of past patterns that could undermine diplomacy.

“The US blockade in the Strait of Hormuz is a violation of ceasefire agreement,” he said.

However, the report did not indicate whether Iran’s president addressed the possibility of a second round of talks in Pakistan or commented on Donald Trump’s statement that US forces had engaged and seized an Iranian-flagged vessel.
