As the conflict between Israel and Iran intensifies, Israel’s Defence Minister, Israel Katz, has issued a strong warning to Iran, emphasizing that continued retaliation will come at a steep cost.
During a military briefing with the army’s Chief of Staff on Saturday.
Katz warned: “If (Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali) Khamenei continues to fire missiles at the Israeli home front — Tehran will burn.”
His warning came after Iran’s retaliatory strikes resulted in the deaths of at least three people in Israel, with several others injured.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed the casualties and expressed condolences to the grieving families. He also reiterated Israel’s determination to stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons or launching further ballistic missile attacks.
In a preemptive strike, Israeli forces targeted Iranian nuclear facilities, citing concerns over Iran’s authoritarian governance and growing military ambitions.
In response, Iran launched a series of missile and drone attacks directed at Israeli cities.
The strikes reportedly reached key locations, including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, further escalating tensions between the two nations.
