Veteran Nollywood star Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) has weighed in on the topic of polygamy.

Speaking during a recent episode of Curiosity Made Me Ask, the renowned actor expressed that being married to only one woman may not be entirely fair, especially when asked about the number of women who are interested in him.

RMD voiced his support for polygamous unions, revealing that his father was married to five wives.

The host, Bae U Barbie, posed the question: “You are married to only one woman. Do you think that is fair? Do you have an idea of how many women [who] want you?”

RMD replied: “I don’t but I think it is unfair to be married to just one woman. My father had five [wives].”

RMD is currently married to media personality Jumobi Adegbesan. Their union came after the passing of his first wife, talk show host May Ellen ‘MEE’ Mofe-Damijo, in 1996.
