Singer Iyanya has revealed who is responsible for the accusations that well-known artiste manager Ubi Franklin stole a luxury wristwatch at Davido’s wedding in Miami over the weekend. Reports of the allegation appeared online on Wednesday after being published on a blog.
In response, Iyanya asserted that the rumours were fabricated by people within Davido’s circle who dislike Franklin, aiming to damage his reputation.
On his X handle, he wrote, “This is a Big lie.
“The jeweler has come out to deny this, it was a gist fabricated to tarnish Ubi’s name by those who don’t like him with that circle.
I will not let my brother be dragged for nothing.”
Meanwhile, Ubi Franklin has denied the theft claims at Davido’s wedding.
In a statement posted on his X handle on Wednesday, Franklin labeled the rumours as false and misleading.
He noted that the luxury watch dealer, Benny, had already refuted the accusations earlier in the day.
