The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that registration for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry has not yet begun.

According to the board, details of the registration process will be shared in due course.

In preparation for the upcoming examination, JAMB advised prospective candidates to secure their National Identification Number (NIN) and a unique phone number.

“You can get your NIN ahead of time and a phone number that has not been previously used to register on our platform to generate your profile code prior to the time,” the board stated.

Additionally, JAMB unveiled _The Lekki Headmaster_ by Kabir Alabi Garba as the recommended reading text for the 2025 UTME Use of English paper.

“Attention prospective 2025 UTME candidates! This is to inform you that _The Lekki Headmaster_ by Kabir Alabi Garba has been approved as the reading text for the use of English. Details on the UTME/DE registration shall be released shortly. Kindly be on the lookout for updates.”

Candidates are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the text to enhance their preparation. The board also directed it’s staff to update their profiles or register afresh in preparation for the examination.

The board emphasized the importance of ensuring compliance to avoid breaches of protocol during the examination process in it’s latest bulletin, dated January 13, released on Tuesday.

“Further details on the registration timeline and guidelines are expected soon, and candidates are advised to stay updated via JAMB’s official platforms,” it concluded
