Results for the mock test of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) held on March 28, 2026, have been published by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Fabian Benjamin, the Public Communication Adviser for the board, issued a statement advising candidates to verify their results by sending “MOCKRESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019 from the phone number they used for registration in the 2026 UTME.

Benjamin revealed that there were 224,597 registrations for the mock examination, with 152,586 candidates who successfully took the test.

The exercise took place at 989 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres across the country.

He mentioned that over 20 centres encountered technical problems during the exercise and have subsequently been removed from the board’s list.

The spokesperson for JAMB cautioned candidates to be wary of persons or organizations asserting that they can alter or increase UTME scores, emphasizing that these assertions are untrue and illegal.

He stated that “candidates found engaging in such activities risk having their registration cancelled or their results withdrawn”.

Candidates were also reminded by the board that the primary UTME exam will begin on April 16.
