In Adamawa State, a woman was taken into custody for reportedly assaulting her ex-husband’s fiancée.

The woman, only known as Salamatu, is accused of seriously hurting her ex-husband’s fiancée by giving her a hot water bath.

The intended wedding is just a few months away from here.

The Yola North Local Government Area’s Jambutu is where the incident took place.

According to witnesses, Salamatu stopped the soon-to-be bride as she was walking to meet her fiancé because she was so envious of her ex-husband’s impending remarriage.

The victim’s closest friend, Safiya, described the experience: “We were together earlier that day before she left to see her fiancé. The next morning, I got a call that she had been bathed with hot water.”

According to SP Suleiman Nguroje, the public relations officer for the Adamawa State Police, the case is being investigated.
