Former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose’s brother, Isaac Fayose, has advised activist Deji Adeyanju to avoid using Peter Obi to make cheap points and to be brave in expressing his support for President Bola Tinubu and his purported decision to join the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Adeyanju has often accused Peter Obi of “fraud,” claiming to have solid proof that the former governor of Anambra is not who he says he is.
In his recent tirade against the former presidential candidate, which many Nigerians feel is being supported by the All Progressives Congress, APC, government, he also labeled Obi a manipulator and a religious bigot.
Obi has already summoned Adeyanju to appear in court and present proof of his alleged fraud.
In a blend of Pidgin and plain English, Fayose counseled Adeyanju to openly express his backing for the Tinubu administration.
He claimed that Adeyanju is merely copying Reno Omokri, a former presidential adviser who, in his opinion, rose to fame and attracted the attention of the Tinubu administration by disparaging Peter Obi.
“My brother Deji Adeyanju want go APC you dey take style dey support Tinubu government but you no fit come out openly say, ‘Oh! I don go APC or I’m supporting Tinubu,” he said in a viral social media video.
“You dey use legbegbe like Reno Omokri. Reno Omokri started by fighting Obi and later he just crossed in. Deji dey use the same style.
“Mr Adeyanju just enter directly stop using Obi to score cheap points. Common! If you’re going to APC, go freely.
“Leave that man alone. What has he done to you? He hasn’t done anything to you. You want to go to APC but you don’t know how you’ll do it because Sowore will be disappointed, your brother.
“You want to go to APC and you don’t know how you’ll do and you say, ‘If Obi is on the ballot I’ll vote Tinubu’. You think say we no know who you dey support before? Abeg cross in. Stop using legbegbe.”
