In his latest book, Save America, former president and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump makes a threat to imprison Facebook founder and billionaire entrepreneur Mark Zuckerberg.

Trump writes that Zuckerberg “would come to the Oval Office to see me” and “bring his very nice wife to dinners, be as nice as anyone could be, while always plotting install shameful Lock Boxes in a true PLOT AGAINST THE PRESIDENT” beneath a photo of the two of them meeting at the White House during the latter’s presidency.

Then came the threat:

“He told me there was nobody like Trump on Facebook. But at the same time, and for whatever reason, steered it against me. We are watching him closely, and if he does anything illegal this time he will spend the rest of his life in prison — as will others who cheat in the 2024 Presidential Election.”

In a recent letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH), Zuckerberg acknowledged that the company had erred when it demoted The New York Post’s contentious story about Hunter Biden’s laptop in October 2020, even though Trump’s FBI had alerted them to a Russian disinformation campaign against the Bidens.

“It’s since been made clear that the reporting was not Russian disinformation, and in retrospect, we shouldn’t have demoted the story,” wrote Zuckerberg. “We’ve changed out policies and processes to make sure this doesn’t happen again — for instance, we no longer temporarily demote things in the U.S. while waiting for fact-checkers.”

Trump has already made threats against Zuckerberg’s freedom, however this time he was more direct.

In July of last year, Trump declared on Truth Social “that if I’m elected President, we will pursue Election Fraudsters at levels never seen before, and they will be sent to prison for long periods of time.”

“We already know who you are. DON’T DO IT! ZUCKERBUCKS, be careful!” he continued, referencing Zuckerberg’s investments in election infrastructure back in 2020.
