The Kano State Hisbah Board arrested ten people, including eight women and two males, for reportedly lingering at night in various sections of the state.
The arrests were conducted as part of the ongoing “Operation Clean Up” effort, which aims to promote public order and environmental cleaning.
Speaking to journalists, Hisbah’s Acting Commander, Aminudden Mujahiddeen, revealed that the suspects were apprehended near Kofar Ruwa Motor Park, Airport Road, Sabon Gari, and other sites.
He revealed that several of those arrested are accused of drug dealing and solicitation. “Some of them are not even from Kano. In fact, one of the women is not even Nigerian,” Mujahiddeen stated.
He informed the public that investigations are ongoing and that appropriate actions will be taken to ensure peace and order in the state.
