Rabiu Kwankwaso, the national head of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has stated that he is confident his party will win the 2027 presidential election.

The outburst was caused by Kwankwaso, the party’s nominee for president in the 2023 elections, during the opening of the NNPP Secretariat on IBB Way in Katsina on Saturday.

In Katsina, the former governor of Kano State paid the Yar’Adua family a sympathy visit following the passing of their matriarch, Hajiya Dada.

In 2027, he declared, the party would be prepared to seize control of the federal government, individual states, and other national offices.

He said the party was going to do well in the general elections in 2027.

“I wish to remind you that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is already dead, because we were in the party, since they have gone out of the line, we decided to check out,” he stated.

In particular, the Kwankwasiyya leader advised women and young people in Nigeria not to allow themselves to be “deceived with spaghetti or money during the next elections.”

Additionally, Kwankwaso urged the party’s leaders to intensify their efforts to ensure the party’s success in the state and across the nation.

He applauded them and other state stakeholders for remodelling the state secretariat, stating that doing so is a necessary step in being ready for success.

Alhaji Armaya’u Abdulkadir, the state chairman of the NNPP, also spoke during his speech and stated that the party was making every effort to inform voters about its new logo.

He claims that the new emblem represents education for all, which is the Kwankwasiyya leader’s top priority.

He said, ”There is the need for the party to embark on grassroots sensitisation to inform the members on the importance of the new logo.”
