Kwankwaso finally gives conditions to join APC

Conditions for joining the All Progressives Congress (APC) have been established by Rabiu Kwankwaso, the National Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

According to Kwankwaso, before he will consent to a merger or join the APC, NNPP members must see real benefits.

Kwankwaso emphasized the need for strong assurances and insisted that he would not allow himself to be used and dumped again when he welcomed Buhari Bakwana, a former political adviser to former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, and APC members from Kano State’s forty-four local government areas at his Miller Road home in Kano.

However, Kwankwaso stated that he was still open to joining the APC.

He said: “If you are asking us to join APC, you must tell us what NNPP will gain. We have gubernatorial candidates in all the states and full structures nationwide. What will you offer them if we join?

“Eight years of APC under the immediate past President Muhammadu Buhari gave us nothing, not even appreciation. In PDP, we asked for just a zonal party chairman, but they refused. We left peacefully and today we are strong and have integrity.

“We are ready to join APC under strong conditions and promises. We will not allow anyone to use us and later dump us.”
