Renowned rapper Odumodublvck has expressed that Lagos may not be the best environment for emerging artists to nurture their craft.

The Abuja-based musician described Lagos as a city driven by self-interest, cautioning that creatives who rise through its ranks risk turning into individuals consumed by greed and self-centeredness.

According to him, growing up and building his career in Abuja has provided him with a unique advantage in the country’s music scene.

On his X handle, he wrote, “The worst place for a young artist to grow is Lagos. It’s the most selfish place to grow.

“You will become them; a greedy, selfish, and self-centered packaged beast.

“That’s why it was easy to run through the industry as The Machine wey I be. I too real for una.”
