Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has identified a key area his squad needs to strengthen ahead of the upcoming season.

This comes in the wake of Barcelona’s recent 2-0 victory over Espanyol, a result that secured the LaLiga title under Flick’s leadership.

The 60-year-old has had an impressive first campaign in charge of the Catalan giants.

Under his guidance, Barcelona captured a domestic treble lifting the Supercopa de España, Copa del Rey, and the LaLiga trophy.

Speaking ahead of Barcelona’s next game against Villarreal on Sunday, Flick said (via Barca Universal on X): “Defense is something we can improve. It is not about the last defensive line.

“It starts with the forwards. We need a compact system.
