With Antoine Griezmann about to finalize his move to Orlando City, Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman could be assigned a new position at Atletico Madrid.

It marks the end of his successful two-decade career in European football.

Griezmann’s departure will prompt a tactical change at Atletico, particularly affecting Lookman.

Diego Simeone currently positions Lookman as a wide midfielder within a strict 4-4-2 setup.

This arrangement permits Lookman to take advantage of his speed on the flanks, but it also compels him to engage more in defensive responsibilities.

While in Nigeria, he thrived at Atalanta as an inverted winger or a second striker.

​As Griezmann is set to leave, Lookman may take on a more advanced attacking position, forming part of a two-man strike partnership and positioning himself nearer to the goal.
