Raphinha, a Barcelona player, tied Cristiano Ronaldo’s record in El Clasico games during Barcelona’s victory against Real Madrid this past week.

Playing in the El Clasico matches versus Barcelona was Ronaldo’s biggest obstacle during his fantastic Real Madrid tenure.

The Portuguese star struggled against the Catalan squad, which resulted in a poor showing.

Raphinha now has the same record as the Real Madrid legend, who only won eight of his thirty El Clasico games.

In just 12 meetings against Los Blancos, the Brazilian winger has eight victories, three assists, and seven goals.

After declining offers from Chelsea and Arsenal, the former Leeds United midfielder joined Barcelona for €58 million in 2022. He has been doing exceptionally well against their primary rivals.

In the last four games between the two sides, including two goals in the Spanish Super Cup final earlier this week in Saudi Arabia, he has scored five goals and provided one assist.

Ronaldo, on the other hand, scored 18 goals for Real Madrid despite losing 14 El Clasico games.

Despite scoring two goals twice against the Catalan team, he was unable to score a hat-trick and only contributed three assists.

Later this season, when the two sides square off in La Liga, Raphinha will have the opportunity to shatter the record.

Towards the end of the season, both teams will play one another.

In May, the game will be held at Camp Nou.
