Alvaro Arbeloa, the head coach of Real Madrid, has included Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior in his list of five untouchable players.

The manager expressed his desire for the duo to participate in every game.

Last month, the Spaniard assumed the role at Santiago Bernabeu that had been held by fellow countryman Xabi Alonso.

The former right-back started his tenure at the Bernabeu with a Copa del Rey Round of 16 defeat against Albacete, losing 3-2. He then guided the team to multiple La Liga victories, including a home match in the UEFA Champions League where they triumphed 6-1 over AS Monaco.

His series of victories came to an end with a 4-2 defeat against Benfica, which also resulted in Los Blancos missing out on automatic qualification for the Round of 16 and finishing in ninth position.

In the last four matches Arbeloa has managed, both Mbappe and Vinicius have been on the field.

Besides, the Spaniard has three additional key players: midfielders Jude Bellingham and Fede Valverde, along with goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

Arbeloa told reporters, “The more minutes they can be available to the team for me, the better,” via France24 courtesy of GOAL.

“These are players who can change the game suddenly at any time. Some people who aren’t Madrid fans might not want them playing, but I think Madrid supporters want their top players to be there, ready to play every time.

“I believe the five players mentioned are in the top ten globally, and I completely trust them. It’s not just my trust in them – their play on the field is what’s getting them to compete in the game.”

On Sunday, Arbeloa secured a home victory against Rayo Vallecano in La Liga, winning 2-1.

They hold the second position, trailing Barcelona, the leaders, by one point.
