LaLiga: Zidane decides on Real Madrid job amid pressure on Ancelotti

Due to doubts about Carlo Ancelotti’s future, Zinedine Zidane has chosen not to sign a third contract with Real Madrid, according to Cadena SER.

After the team’s fifth loss of the season, Ancelotti is under pressure at the Bernabeu.

Los Blancos are currently in 24th place in the Champions League, the last spot from which a team may advance to the knockout play-off rounds, and second in La Liga, four points behind rivals Barcelona.

If Real decides to fire Ancelotti, Raul, Solari, and Zidane are seen to be the possible replacements.

Although they could hire a temporary manager, the club would prefer to hire Xabi Alonso in 2025. However, Zidane refuses to take over with a deal that would last until the end of the season.

With three Champions League titles and two La Liga titles, Zidane is among Real Madrid’s most successful managers ever.
