Lawmaker distributes 2,000 Bags of Free Fertilizer to Farmers – Reports

Hon. Mansur Manu Soro, the member representing Darazo-Ganjuwa Federal Constituency, has distributed 2,000 bags of free NPK fertilizer to deserving farmers in his constituency. According to him, the gesture is to support food production and economic development in rural communities. Manu Soro said, “Under my representation, we have institutionalized the distribution of free fertilizers in DGFC to support both wet and dry season farmers since the year 2020.” He added, “We shall remain unrelenting in our commitment to increase the agricultural productivity of the Darazo-Ganjuwa federal constituency.

The lawmaker noted that a standing committee is tasked with ensuring the fertilizer reaches selected beneficiaries across the 22 electoral wards in the constituency. Manu Soro was joined by prominent party members, including the PDP state women leader, Haj. Hauwa Fulani, PDP zonal chairman, Bunun Siyi, and LG party chairmen of Darazo and Ganjuwa. He stated, “I was joined by the PDP state women leader, Haj. Hauwa Fulani, PDP zonal chairman, Bunun Siyi, and LG party chairmen of Darazo and Ganjuwa, who re-emphasize the need for the distribution committee to ensure a hitch-free distribution and prioritize hard-to-reach areas.”

This initiative is part of Manu Soro’s ongoing efforts to support farmers in his constituency. In May 2025, he launched the Young Millionaire in Agriculture program, training 125 youths and empowering each with free agricultural inputs, including fertilizer, herbicides, seeds, and equipment
