Man allegedly kills girlfriend to stop her from traveling abroad, marries her corpse

In a desperate attempt to prevent his girlfriend from traveling overseas, a Nigerian man is said to have killed her and then married her body.

A user on the social media site X (previously Twitter) posted this startling experience.

According to the post by @babypeekor, the dead was her friend’s sister.

The woman reportedly made intentions to leave the country, but her partner was adamantly opposed. Tragically, he is accused of killing her to stop her from leaving.

He was allegedly jailed after the incident, but his family was able to have him released on bail.

The family even went so far as to set up a marriage ceremony between him and the deceased, much to the chagrin of many.

“My friend’s sister was killed because her boyfriend didn’t want her to travel out. He was arrested, but his family bailed him and just married the corpse. There was no justice for her, and the fool is alive and free. Hmm!” the post read.
