May Edochie, the estranged wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, has initiated legal proceedings against Yinka Theisen, the former partner of Yul’s older brother, Linc Edochie. The case involves allegations of cyberbullying, cyberstalking, and defamation.

In a formal notice issued by her legal team, Graylaw Partners, May accused Yinka of consistently posting harmful and false content about her on social media.

According to the legal notice, these posts were not only misleading but appeared to be deliberate efforts to damage her public image, subject her to ridicule, and expose her to threats and reputational harm.

The letter further claimed that Yinka’s actions encouraged others to circulate the defamatory material, compounding the emotional and reputational harm inflicted on May.

May, through her lawyers, has demanded that Yinka immediately cease publishing damaging content, retract all previously shared defamatory statements, issue a public apology, and post retractions across every platform where the claims were made.

In addition to these demands, May is seeking ₦500 million in compensation for the distress and reputational damage caused by the alleged online harassment.
