Apart from the First Lady, Dame Patience Ibifaka (née Oba), President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has another wife, which most Nigerians are unaware of.

One significant element of GEJ’s family life that is purposefully kept hidden from the majority of Nigerians is the existence of his second wife, Dr. Mrs. Lott Jonathan, also known as Mrs. Lott J. In addition to being President Jonathan’s second wife, Lott J is the mother of his two boys.

Chief F.D. Lott, a distinguished attorney and former Attorney-General of Bayelsa State, is the father of Lott J, a law graduate of Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST).

As close as blood sisters can get, she is the cousin of the controversial Minister of Petroleum, Diezeni Allison-Madueke. Lott J’s father is a member of Niger Delta University’s Bayelsa governing council.

According to sources, Lott J was already married to the president when he entered politics. It was learned that Lott J attempted to win Jonathan over by using her two sons as leverage to tie his hand when he was appointed Deputy-Governor of Bayelsa State.

She encountered a fiery Patience, though, who thwarted all of her efforts. Jonathan made the decision to move his second wife and two sons to the United States of America after he was elected governor of Bayelsa State.

Lott J returned to Nigeria with her two sons shortly after Jonathan was elected president, settling in Abuja.

Lott J resides in one of Maitama Street’s most affluent neighborhoods. It is reported that her husband visits her on Sundays.

Lott J just received his doctorate in education.

Lott J, the owner and operator of Aduvie Montessori International, a private school, is described as a very laid-back and modest woman. It is considered to be among the greatest in FCT Abuja and is located in Maitama, off Blantyre Street.
