Mercy Johnson arrests Angela Okorie for cyber bullying

Reports indicate that Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has been arrested by her fellow actress Mercy Johnson for cyberbullying.

Reports indicated that Angela was arrested at her Lagos home on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, by operatives from the Nigeria Police Force Cybercrime Center in Abuja.

The announcement was made on Wednesday by Seun Oloketuyi, a journalist and the founder of BON Awards.

Oloketuyi detailed on his Instagram page that Angela spent the night at Yaba, Panti police station, before being transported to Abuja early Wednesday: “Angela Okorie was arrested yesterday at her Lagos residence by the Nigeria Police Force Cybercrime Centre, Abuja.

“She was put on 6am flight to Abuja this morning to face court proceedings connected to cybercrime matter involving Mercy Johnson.”

This development occurred precisely one week after Mercy Johnson declared that in 2026, cyberbullying against her and her family would not be treated as normal business.
