MFM awards Cash Gifts and Electronic Devices to outstanding Students of FCT School for the Blind

The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries International Headquarters Annex in Wuye, Abuja, has recognised the academic achievements of students at the Federal Capital Territory School for the Blind in Jabi. Through its outreach arm, “We Care Ministry”, the church awarded cash gifts and electronic devices to outstanding students.

The overall best graduating student, Godwin Lazarus, received a new laptop, while the second- and third-best graduates, Miss Aishat Isah and Master Alfred Yahaya, were given cash rewards of N100,000 and N50,000, respectively. All the graduating students were also presented with digital walking aids equipped with sensors to support their mobility and independence.

The Senior Regional Overseer of MFM Wuye, Edwin Etomi, who presented the gifts on behalf of the General Overseer, Dr. Daniel Olukoya, said, “This award is a testament to the love and passion the General Overseer and his wife have for academic excellence. Beyond this, they have consistently provided scholarships and other support that have empowered many young people to achieve their dreams and contribute meaningfully to society.”

Etomi explained that the “We Care Ministry” is dedicated to social and community development through initiatives like Food Evangelism, where they feed inmates in correctional centres and police stations. “We also support orphans, the abandoned, and physically challenged individuals, including ex-inmates seeking to reintegrate into society,” he added. “Through regular outreach, we preach salvation, repentance, and restoration in Jesus Christ to those often forgotten by society.”

The Head Teacher of the FCT School for the Blind, Mrs Hafsat Umar Isah, expressed gratitude to the church for its continued support, appreciating the gesture and the church’s commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of the students
