Former National Conscience Party (NCP) presidential candidate Dele Momodu has discussed the incident in which First Lady Oluremi Tinubu threatened to turn off Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke’s microphone if he continued to sing.

On Saturday, December 13, 2025, the Nigerian Tribune reported According to Momodu, Oluremi wasn’t truly upset with Adeleke’s song. He claimed that when they went to social gatherings in Osogbo together, she used to like his dancing and singing.

He claimed to have footage of them dancing together and clarified that Governor Adeleke’s refusal to leave his party in order to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) was the true cause of her ire.

According to Momodu, the APC’s leaders want all Nigerian governors, regardless of location, to be party members. He claimed that everyone who declines to join the APC is viewed as an adversary right away.

In his exact words: “However, I know the reason she is angry, because she used to enjoy his singing and music when they used to dance together in Osogbo and all that. I have video evidence of that. She is angry because the governor refused to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).”
