The Ansar-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria offered prayers for divine guidance to help Pope Leo XIV lead the Catholic faithful effectively.

The organization described the selection of Robert Prevost, now known as Leo XIV, as the first American to assume the papacy as a moment of great historical importance and a turning point for the Catholic Church.

Prince Mosediq Kazeem, the National President, stated that this landmark event not only maintains the tradition of apostolic succession but also highlights the global Church’s strength, shared beliefs, and unity.

Following the passing of Pope Francis last month, the College of Cardinals completed its conclave and chose Pope Leo XIV as the new leader.
