Renowned Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has revealed that her leaked sex tape was part of a bet.
This admission comes four years after the tape went viral on social media in 2021.
It was reported that the video was recorded by her boyfriend without her consent and was leaked after she declined to pay a blackmailer.
However, in a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, Tiwa explained that her former boyfriend circulated the tape as part of a wager.
The artist expressed feeling betrayed.
“I actually did that with my boyfriend. He said he accidentally pressed sent when he was trying to save it. But I later found out that it was a bet with his friends,” she shared.
