According to her, the stolen money included funds for her POS business as well as thrift contributions received from others.

A POS agent who also serves as a thrift collector is requesting aid from the public after a bag holding over ₦150,000 was taken from her shop when she stepped out to grab something for her children.

She disclosed this in an emotive account of her experience that was posted on her X (formerly Twitter) profile.

She claims that among the stolen assets were contributions from thrift stores and money for her point-of-sale business.

she wrote: “My life is crumbling. Just pray I pass this moment.”

“I went to get something for my kids this afternoon and locked the burglary gate, but by the time I returned, my shop had been broken into and my POS bag was gone. It contained over ₦150k.”

She clarified that because it includes donations she receives on behalf of others, 75% of the pilfered funds did not belong to her.

“I usually collect thrift contributions to run my business. Now the money is gone and I don’t know how to repay the owners by month-end,” she added.

She made a request for help from the public assistance in raising the funds to settle her debt and continue her business.
