‘My mom was a baddie’ – Davido

David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, is an Afrobeats singer who has disclosed that his mother, Veronica Hailey Imade Adeleke, was a “baddie.”

In a recent Instagram post honouring his late mother, the “OBO” crooner revealed this.

Davido posted a photo of his late mother wearing academic regalia and captioned it, saying, “My mom was a baddie.”

According to ZINGTIE, Mrs. Veronica Adeleke, Davido’s mother, passed away on March 6, 2003, at the age of 39.

At Babcock University, where Davido would eventually receive a degree in music, she was a lecturer.

In commemoration of her son, she has started a band called Davido’s Band.

Imade and Hailey, Davido’s two daughters, bear her name.
