My pastor told me to drink my early morning urine for 7 days, Now one kidney has failed

I would have laughed if someone had told me that a “spiritual direction” would land me on a hospital bed, battling for my life. But now it’s me who is crying, bewildered, and afraid for my future.

It all began when I went to pray with my pastor. I had been dealing with severe setbacks, including losing my job, mysterious illnesses, and nightmares. Following a lengthy period of prayer, my pastor gave me a serious look and said, “Your enemies are using food to fight you. You must drink your early morning urine for 7 days to cleanse yourself.”

I was surprised. If it was safe, I asked him. “It’s a divine secret given to few,” he remarked. I obeyed because I had faith in him and was in dire need of a remedy.

I followed instructions and drank my urine every morning for seven days. I began experiencing dizzy and severe stomach ache by the fourth day. I assumed it was a component of the “cleansing.” However, on the seventh day, I passed out, and my younger brother had to take me to the hospital.

The doctors informed me after a number of tests that one of my kidneys had failed and that the other was in danger. The doctors were surprised when I told them what I had done. Even one of them inquired, “Who gave you this deadly advice?”

I’m in pain right now, both mentally and physically. My calls are no longer being answered by the preacher who instructed me. My family is inconsolable. I am unsure of my next course of action. I feel broken, used, and deceived.

Is this what blind trust leads to? Should I let God judge the pastor or should I publicly expose him? Peace was all I desired. I may now require a kidney transplant.
