The Nigerian naira has continued its upward trend against the US dollar in the official foreign exchange market. According to data from the Central Bank of Nigeria, the naira appreciated slightly to N1,529.57 per dollar on Tuesday, up from N1,529.71 on Monday. This represents a daily gain of N0.14 against the dollar.
In the parallel market, the naira held steady at N1,570 per dollar, unchanged from Monday’s rate. This stability in the black market suggests a positive start to July, following the naira’s closing rates in June of N1,529.71 and N1,570 at the official and parallel markets, respectively
The naira’s recent gains reflect a strengthening currency and a positive outlook for Nigeria’s foreign exchange market. As the economy continues to evolve, market watchers will be closely monitoring the naira’s performance against major currencies
