The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has elected Comrade Festus Oyewumi of the College of Agriculture Technical, Ibarapa, as it’s new national president.

This development came after the association’s national convention in Niger State on Sunday, February 2, 2025, where elections for new executives were successfully concluded.

According to NAPS Convention Chairman, Comrade Ibrahim Mumini, the convention was a peaceful and democratic process, reflecting NAPS’ commitment to unity, progress, and welfare of polytechnic students across Nigeria.

“The convention was conducted in a peaceful and democratic manner, reinforcing the commitment of NAPS to the unity, progress, and welfare of polytechnic students across Nigeria,” Mumini stated.

The new executives include Festus Oyewumi as President, representing the College of Agriculture Tech, Ibarapa, and Usman Ibrahim Dende from the Federal Polytechnic Isah, among others.

This new leadership is expected to drive the association’s objectives and promote the interests of polytechnic students nationwide.
