Nathaniel Bassey, popularly known gospel singer from Nigeria, served as a minister at President Donald Trump’s inaugural prayer breakfast on Monday.
Immediately following Donald Trump’s inauguration, Reverend Merrie Turner sponsored the non-governmental, non-political gathering in Washington, DC.
In his song “Take the Stage,” Bassey, a well-known preacher and trumpet player who was asked to serve the visitors, urged Jesus to take over the White House.
The trumpet player prayed for heavenly guidance over the White House and the entire United States in his moving music, asking God to show his glory over the country.
Recalling that Bassey had previously stated that he had been called by Reverend Merrie Turner, who had been praying when God told her to ask Bassey to “release His glory over the United States.”
