The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Enugu/Anambra/Ebonyi Area Command, announced it generated N50.8 billion in revenue for 2024.

Comfort Ukpanah, the comptroller in charge of the area, revealed this achievement on Wednesday in Enugu.

Ukpanah explained that the accomplishment was made possible by following the vision and policy guidelines set by the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adeniyi.

She attributed the success to the three key policy guidelines of the CG—consultation, innovation, and consolidation—which guided the command in reaching the milestone.

The comptroller also highlighted that, for the first time, the Enugu/Anambra/Ebonyi Command not only met but exceeded its revenue target for 2024, surpassing the N28 billion collected in 2023.

”This is against the N28 billion collected in 2023, and a clear indication that the economy of the South-East is rebounding,” she said.

Ukpanah commended the officers and men of the command for their dedication and hard work, assuring the CG of Customs and stakeholders that the command is committed to surpassing the 2025 revenue target.
