Netflix increases subscription prices for Nigerian users

In just three months since its last price increase, Netflix has raised its Nigerian subscription costs once more.

The new increment has a broad impact on a considerable percentage of all subscription bundles.

As per Netflix, the purpose of the development was to hasten the growth of its earnings and revenue in order to bolster the expansion of its content offers.

Nigerians will now pay N7,000 per month for Netflix’s Premium Plan as a result of the most recent price rise, a 40% increase from the prior rate of N5,000.

The ordinary plan subscription went from N4,000 to N5,500, a 37.5% increase. Nigerian users like this plan because of its HD quality and multi-screen viewing choices.

The lowest subscription plan, Mobile, has jumped by 83% from N1,200 to N2,200, while the Basic plan, which was N2,900, has climbed by 21% to N3,500.

ZINGTIE recalls that Netflix increased its subscription rate for Nigerian consumers in April 2024.
