Nigeria-China Partnership: NCSP backs Chinese Firms’ Mega Projects in Nigeria

The Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership (NCSP) has expressed support for the expansion plans of two major Chinese companies operating in Nigeria, Golden Diamond Limited and Choice International Group (CIG).

NCSP Director General, Joseph Tegbe, visited the companies to strengthen bilateral trade and industrial cooperation between Nigeria and China. At Golden Diamond Limited, a manufacturing firm since 2002, Tegbe was briefed on the company’s $100 million expansion plan, bringing their total investment to $500 million.

The company plans to diversify into industrial manufacturing, agriculture, mining, alternative energy, and real estate development. Tegbe commended Golden Diamond’s contribution to Nigeria’s economy and reiterated NCSP’s support for their expansion.

At CIG, manufacturers of GAC automobile brand, Tegbe was briefed on a $1.2 billion automotive project with the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC). The project involves establishing a vehicle production facility in Nigeria, expected to contribute 10% to Nigeria’s $1 trillion economy.

Tegbe expressed strong support, saying, “These two initiatives are significant pillars in the new era of industrial growth and economic transformation Nigeria envisions. They align perfectly with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.” He reaffirmed NCSP’s commitment to facilitating partnerships that deliver shared prosperity and sustainable development
