Tigran Gambaryan, the former Head of Financial Compliance at Binance Holdings Limited, has criticized the Nigerian government, describing it as being “lawless.”
According to Gambaryan, those in charge of the country rely on “criminals and thugs” who are primarily focused on personal gain rather than national progress.
His comments came in response to former U.S. President Donald Trump’s warning that the United States would suspend aid to Nigeria if the government failed to stop the killings of Christians.
Trump also directed the U.S. Department of War to get ready for potential military intervention aimed at eliminating Islamic terrorists if Nigeria’s leadership does not ensure the safety of Christians.
Posting on his social media platform, the former U.S. president urged Nigerian authorities to take immediate action to protect Christians.
This development follows Trump’s decision to classify Nigeria once again as a “Country of Particular Concern,” citing the alleged targeted killings of Christians by Islamic extremists.
Reacting, Gambaryan wrote on X: “Nigeria is currently run by a lawless regime that relies on criminals and thugs more interested in enriching themselves than in taking care of their citizens. Cowboy up.”
