According to Okey Osuoha, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) deputy national legal adviser, all of the party’s problems have been resolved, and there are no longer any factions.
Hours after the party’s National Executive Council, NEC, meeting at its Abuja headquarters, he made this statement on Arise News on Monday.
The decision was unanimous, he said, and all PDP members have decided to resolve their differences and go forward.
“All issues have been settled. I’ve told you there’s no factions for now. That settlement is that Anyanwu is the national secretary.
“These are ways we move it forward, and that’s why I say today, all the parties have agreed. Dispute has been settled, and we’ll now move forward,” he said.
He also made sure that all of the party’s NEC members attended the meeting and approved of all of the decisions made.
“So it was just a unanimous decision that agreed to move forward. And it’s a very welcome development. I was happy, because let me tell you, every Nigerian looks up to BDP as the bastion of democracy,” he added.
As previously reported by ZINGTIE, Umar Damagum, the PDP’s interim national chairman, announced that Samuel Anyanwu has been confirmed as the party’s national secretary by the NEC.
