Nigeria’s wealthiest woman, Alakija, separates from her husband after over 30 years of marriage

It has been stated that Folorunsho Alakija, considered the wealthiest woman in the nation, is going through a marital crisis following her more than three decades of marriage to Modupe Alakija.

As a gospel pastor, the former society matriarch has reportedly split from her husband, according to The Will newspaper.

Sources cited in the report claim that the couple has been having arguments a lot, which has led to their decision to live apart.

It is rumored that Modupe Alakija no longer stays overnight at the couple’s upscale Ikoyi home in Lagos.

Due to what is said to be pressure in their marriage, Folorunsho Alakija has demanded the highest level of privacy, which has caused her spouse to look for housing elsewhere in the Ikoyi district.

Insiders claim that the pair have been putting up a united front despite the rumored marital discord’s unidentified causes because of their standing in Nigerian culture.

Folorunsho Alakija, the founder and CEO of FAMFA Oil Limited, is well-known as a prosperous entrepreneur, philanthropist, and minister.

This marital crisis has coincided with recent revelations regarding the health challenges, including eye-related ones, faced by Folorunsho Alakija.
