Bashir Ahmed, a former media aide to ex-Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, has asserted that Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), shows a lack of respect for his subordinates.
Bashir, who is also a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), made this claim in a post on his official X microblogging platform while commenting on the events that unfolded in court on Monday.
Reports indicate that Kanu created a disturbance at the Federal High Court in Abuja, insisting that Justice Binta Nyako should not preside over his case.
The IPOB leader, visibly agitated, was filmed shouting in the courtroom and referring to Justice Nyako’s prior recusal.
In a viral video, a visibly upset Kanu was seen tapping his lawyer and ordering him to “stop talking while I am talking.”
Reacting to the video, Bashir said, “Nnamdi Kanu’s arrogance is on full display here. It seems he has no respect for others, especially his subordinates.
“Tapping a grown man aggressively like that and yelling at him, who does he think he is that no one should talk while he is talking? Kanu should know that respect is earned, not forced”!
