After the decrease in fuel prices at Dangote refinery’s gantry, retail outlets of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) have made significant reductions in their petrol prices.
On Monday, ZINGTIE carried out inspections that revealed the filling stations of the state-owned oil company in Abuja revised their prices downwards to N1,295 per liter from N1,361.
This indicates that the petrol price at NNPCL retail outlets has decreased by N71 per liter.
This follows a reduction by Dangote Refinery of its petrol gantry price three days prior, cutting it from N1,285 to N1,200 per liter (a decrease of N85).
As of the time this report was being filled, MRS filling station, which is backed by Dangote, had not yet decreased its retail fuel pump price (N1,367 per liter).
Also, Empire Energy, Ranoil, Emedab, and Total filling stations have not reviewed their prices downward and are currently dispensing petrol between N1370 and N1395 per liter.
