Veteran Nollywood actor Tom Njemanze has died at the age of 75.

Reports indicate that he passed away on Friday after battling prostate cancer.

Rising to prominence in the 1990s, Njemanze became well-known for his compelling roles in classic Nigerian films such as Tokunboh, Pounds and Dollars, Atosa, Issakaba, Osuofia in London, Brain Box, and Igbotic Love.

Celebrated for his emotive acting style and strong presence on screen, he remains a beloved figure in the history of Nigerian cinema.

Tributes have continued to pour in from colleagues, fans, friends, and family members, with many offering prayers for his soul and wishing his family the strength to cope with the loss.

In an earlier video shared on Instagram, filmmaker Stanley Ontop revealed that Njemanze had been diagnosed with prostate cancer and was in urgent need of financial assistance for surgery.
