Human rights advocate, Annkio Briggs, has stated that President Bola Tinubu does not have the unwavering gratitude of everyone in Rivers State.

Briggs made this remark during an appearance on Sunday Politics, a programme aired on Channels Television.

Her comments came in response to the lifting of the six-month-long state of emergency that had been declared in Rivers State.

When asked whether she shared the same level of appreciation towards President Tinubu as Governor Fubara expressed, Briggs replied, “Definitely not. I think the president himself will be aware that not everybody in Rivers State will be eternally grateful to him.”

“As a stakeholder and elder, I feel very let down by the PDP because since 1999 we have voted for the party. I feel that if they had stepped in and done what they should have done right from the beginning, the PDP would not find itself where it is today.”
