The video that caused the controversy, in which Chidi claimed to be Obi Cubana’s next of kin, has been removed. Chidi is the adoptive son of Nigerian billionaire businessman Obinna Iyiegbu, better known by his stage name Obi Cubana.

Recall how the video made a stir. Many people questioned Chidi’s motivations and accused him of being attention-seeking.

Obi Cubana made it clear that Alex is his legitimate next of kin by sharing a photo of himself with his biological first son on his official Instagram page in reaction to the widely shared video.

Obi Cubana viewed the post as a public clarification meant to correct the record and put an end to any rumors or false information.

The action, however, generated more discussion on the internet, with some internet users believing that Obi Cubana was correct to correct the false information and others contending that the businessman ought to have dealt with the matter in private.

Chidi removed the video from his TikTok account despite the conflicting views, probably to prevent more criticism or attention. Chidi may be attempting to minimize the harm and stop additional online criticism by locking his TikTok comment section in addition to removing the video.
