OGITECH students in hot water over brutal assault video

A viral video showing some female students of Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH) brutally assaulting a lady over a boyfriend dispute has sparked outrage. The students, who were arrested by the police, can be seen flogging the victim with thick canes, leaving her with visible injuries on her back, face, and head.

The institution’s Public Relations Officer, Gbadebo Adebayo, has confirmed that the management will discipline the students involved if found guilty. “The management is waiting for the police to complete their investigation and the students involved will also face disciplinary action according to the Institute’s code of conduct,” Adebayo said.

Adebayo emphasized that OGITECH has zero tolerance for anti-social behavior, stating, “Any student found engaging in such behaviour will face disciplinary action under the Student Code of Conduct.” The police investigation is ongoing, and the management is working closely with them to ensure justice is served.
