Victor Osimhen, a striker for Galatasaray, has given the most recent information regarding his injuries.
During Nigeria’s loss to DR Congo in the World Cup qualifying playoff final on Sunday, the Nigerian international sustained a hamstring injury.
In the second half of Nigeria’s game against Congo, the 26-year-old was unable to continue and was replaced by Akor Adams.
His absence was noticeable as DR Congo took charge of the match and, following a 1-1 draw after 120 minutes, defeated the Super Eagles of Nigeria 4-3 on penalties.
“My injury is not very serious,” Osimhen told A Spor at the Istanbul airport following the conclusion of the World Cup playoffs on Sunday night (via Habersarikirmizi).
In order to play for Galatasaray against Gençlerbirliği in the Turkish Super Lig match on Saturday, Osimhen will need to heal in time.
During the most recent summer transfer window, he permanently joined the Turkish Super Lig winners from Napoli.
